EliteCare was built around the idea that the patient experience should be held to the same standard as the surgery itself. Founded in 2024 by Dr. H. Reza Zahiri, a fellowship-trained and board-certified robotic and minimally invasive surgeon, the practice provides specialized surgical care across hernia repair, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, body contouring, gastrointestinal surgery, and advanced wound care.

Meet Dr. Zahiri
Dr. H. Reza Zahiri, D.O., F.A.C.S., is the founder of EliteCare Surgical Specialists and a fellowship-trained robotic and minimally invasive surgeon. He completed his residency and chief residency at the University of Maryland and his fellowship at Anne Arundel Medical Center under Adrian E. Park, M.D., F.A.C.S., one of the country’s foremost authorities on minimally invasive hernia and GI surgery.
Before founding EliteCare, he served as Chief of Surgery at Doctors Community Medical Center and held faculty appointments at The George Washington University, Howard University, and Anne Arundel Medical Center. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and operates on the Intuitive da Vinci Robotic Platforms at Suburban Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Bethesda, MD.
He speaks English, Spanish, and Farsi.
